About Mayhem

To meet MAYHEM and be considered for adoption you must first submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/232395363383057 MAYHEM is a 4 year old, 10.2 pound beautiful blue hairless Chihuahua who came to us from a shelter. LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: Only dog, no kids. Mayhem is an active, friendly boy! He rarely meets strangers and easily bounces up to say hi and get pets and scratches. He loves to give kisses and if he feels that he has disappointed you his little heart breaks and he keeps kissing you until you forgive him. He is a people pleaser! Mayhem attaches quickly and wants to be where his people are. At first Mayhem was resource guarding his person and could be snippy with other dogs. Not uncommon for a new dog who is anxious about a change! But he has learned to get along well with his foster sister. He just had to learn he's not the boss! He is very playful and loves to play with toys and his foster sister. He will be best with a dog his size and he would be ok as an only dog as long as he gets lots of attention. He has not been tested with cats or kids. Because we are unsure how he would be with kids we would prefer a home with older ones if there are kids in the home. Mayhem is doing very well with his potty training. He hasn't had any accidents recently! He walks fine on a leash and would be ok in a home without a fenced yard. At night he loves to snuggle under the covers. Hairless dogs do not need to be outside for very long in either hot or cold temperatures. Please read up on their skin care needs if you are interested in adopting him! Mayhem has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, has been neutered, fecal tested, is heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He is a good boy who deserves a very loving owner! *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
