About Roger

Meet Roger, a sweet, loving gentleman who is five years old and weighs 54 pounds. Roger was once an outside dog, but he has been the kindest and most affectionate furry friend since he came to the shelter. He warmly greets everyone who visits and loves to be showered with attention. Although he can be quite curious during walks, sometimes leading to pulling on his leash, he is a bright and quick learner. Since arriving at the shelter, Roger has already learned how to sit, go to his bed, and he is currently working on perfecting the 'wait' command. He is a smart and intelligent dog who picks up commands quickly. One thing to note is that Roger does not like to share his people with other dogs, so he is looking for a home where he can be the only dog. Roger would love to be an indoor dog, where he can enjoy the finer things in life, such as cozy beds and the warmth of a loving home. The shelter has already tested him for heartworm, and he tested negative. Moreover, he has completed his treatment for Lyme disease. Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (dhpp), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information
