About Tacocat

When we adopted Taco from a neighbor, we hoped our 2 existing cats would grow to like (or at least tolerate/ignore) him. Unfortunately, one cat decided he is scared of Taco, which made the other cat (they are bonded) react very aggressively to poor Taco! Nothing we've tried has convinced our 2 cats that Taco is a sweet boy- which he very much is!! While we do believe Taco would enjoy a cat companion, he is a big boy (~16 lbs) and can sometimes get overexcited and play too rough. He would do best in a home with a cat(s) who is patient and experienced dealing with other cats. According to his previous owner, he is afraid of dogs. Though I've personally never seen him with kids, he is always so gentle and tolerant with people, which leads me to believe that he would make for a wonderful family cat. Taco warms up to new people quickly, and before you know it, he'll be cuddled up beside you with his belly in the air, purring up a storm! One of his cute little quirks is that he likes to 'groom' your skin- he will give your whole hand a bath if you let him! Taco loves to be around people, but he's not overly demanding of your attention so long as you give him other things to do. Some of his favorites include chasing a laser pointer, posting up at a window to watch birds/squirrels in the yard, playing with his favorite felt rat, and even watching nature videos for cats! Taco is a complete sweetheart and we are devastated that things didn't work out for him in our home. We just know if you meet him, you'll love him as much as we do!!
