Courtesy Posting: Chandler, AZ (Phoenix) - 'Taz' CHANDLER, AZ (PHOENIX) - X URGENT, MAY BE SHELTER BOUND - LOVING YOUNGER PUREBRED CHOW BOY 'TAZ'- PEOPLE/ DOG/ KID FRIENDLY, IN NEED OF A LOVING, CHOW SAVVY FOREVER HOME, OR FOSTER & RESCUE ASAP SO HE DOES NOT END UP AT KILL SHELTER - OWNER CANNOT KEEP DUE TO OWNER'S MEDICAL. WHO CAN HELP? Please help us find a loving, forever chow savvy home (or a foster we can refer to a local rescue) for this young man who is named Taz. His owner has had him since he was born, along with his brother, Leo. Both dogs may be adopted or fostered separately, or together, as they get along, but are not necessarily bonded. Taz and Leo are just over 2.5 years old, and have lived with another medium size dog (their father), and an older smaller female dog. Unfortunately, the owner now has medical needs and is unable to care for all four, and thus has asked us to help find placement asap for both young boys. Taz and Leo are potty trained and live indoors but enjoy the outdoors as well. However, they have never been outside the home on walks, but have been friendly to people when they come over according to their owner. Taz is the friendlier of the two. Like a typical chow though, Leo 'is scared at first and runs away but after they talk to him he is very friendly.' Taz is 'friendly and lovable' Both dog are said to love the owner's granddaughters and never bitten anyone. Both dogs appear healthy but unfortunately, neither have never been to the vet and are in need of grooming. Therefore, we are looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt to involve a rescue group to assist with vaccinations, and neutering. Please note neutering will be a condition of any adoption. Chow savvy recommended. If you are in a position to be that home, or can possibly foster locally for a rescue, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist with their placement. We will be posting videos, more pictures, and any further updates on Facebook at: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10165307312008125&id=783968124 Please help if you can as we do not want these dogs to end up in the local kill shelter.
