About Georgie

Adoption Fee: $350
Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Georgie, a pretty 5 years old Australian Cattledog/Border Collie mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Georgie is typical for her breeds in that she is smart, loyal, and a total fetcher. Georgie knows: Come, stay, up (go upstairs), Go to bed (will lay down or go to her room where bed is). She is one of the smartest dogs we have seen and picks up tricks quickly. She loves to learn. Georgie is smart enough to know when to remind you that it's time for her walk or let you know of a noise you haven't heard yet. She is like a personal assistant! Georgie is also house and crate trained. Georgie is comfortable with men and women if they give her just a moment. The best way to introduce her to new people is through fetch. She can't resist fetch. Georgie did once give a warning nip to her person who surprised her out of a deep sleep at night. Otherwise she has never offered to nip. However, due to this, we don't think she is a fit for small kids. Georgie is good with other dogs when on walks, at the vet, and such. She would rather be the only dog at home, or have a male dog sibling. She does sometimes play with other dogs, usually smaller dogs. If fetch were an olympic sport Georgie would be a medalist. She will play for hours, lying the ball at your feet to keep the game going. She makes astounding leaps and flips to get the ball. Click on the red YouTube button to see her in action. Georgie is a good adventure partner, too. She is good on leash and loves the car. She would be a great hiking pal. Georgie is a great cuddler. She is loyal and will stick by your side. She will entertain you with games of fetch, and also let you know if she hears a noise you should wonder about. Georgie is best friend material. Georgie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in Los Angeles and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
