About Charli

I have a 2yr old (just turned 2 in July) female brindle pit-bull named Charli and I'm needing to re-home her ASAP. I don't want to take her to a regular shelter because I fear they will put her down quickly. She deserves much better. I originally adopted her from MCACC about a year ago and I'm afraid if I take her back there, well, you know. She's loving, playful (loves fetch which usually turns into tug-of-war), is not a picky eater, and sometimes listens. She will usually come in for a 'butt-butt rub' (she LOVES them). She is treat motivated, not food aggressive (not that I'm aware of), and loves to be the center of your attention. She loves to snuggle in bed with you, if you'll let her (yes, I let her). I feel she would do best in a home with no other animals. I'm not sure how she is with kids or cats as we've never been around them. She really doesn't bark much and is very affectionate and loves to show it. She likes to jump on you when you return (from anywhere) to give you kisses She's not really socialized with people or other pets. She tends to bark and sound aggressive but is only scared and not sure how to react. Given time she will calm down and sniff your hand and let you pet her. She's not around other pets She will gently 'bite' your hand if you are petting her and you stop and she wants more. I do not think she learned how to ask for more attention All of her shots and vaccines are up to date and she has a chip (you will need to update it with your info). She is also spayed. Reason for re-homing...my roommate (and owner of the house) has 3 little, old (ages 10, 13 & 14) chihuahuas and right now we just keep them separated from Charli because he fears she's too boisterous and may accidentally hurt them. I have her listed on several sites and some no-kill sites but nobody seems to have any room right now to take her in. Please, she is such a beautiful, sweet, loving, and affectionate girl, just misunderstood and needs some patience, love, socialization, and training. She's only 2 1/2, so still a puppy with puppy energy!
