To meet BETTY LOU and be considered for adoption you must first submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/232395363383057 BETTY LOU is a 3 year old, 15.6 pound super sweet Chihuahua mix that came from a criminal hoarding/backyard breeding situation LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: A family who can spend time with her and a fenced yard. Betty Lou is a very friendly cuddle bug who loves everyone and greets friends and strangers with a wagging tail. She is so happy to be with her person and will follow her foster mom around the house and snuggle on the sofa. She has some anxiety when her person leaves and doesn't like to spend a lot of time alone. Betty Lou is good with other dogs, big and small, but would be perfectly happy as an only too. She had a few minor skirmishes over food, likely due to her prior experiences. Dogs in hoarding situations rarely have enough resources. Cats are an unknown. Betty Lou loves, loves kids and sleeps at night in bed with her foster mom's older son snuggled under the covers. She does well with her potty training and loves to roll around outside in the grass. She is not leash trained and needs a fenced yard. Betty Lou is a good car rider, although she may be a little anxious at first. Betty Lou has been to the vet for a wellness check, spayed, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. She is heartworm positive and has started treatment which is covered by the rescue until she is heartworm negative. If you are looking for a sweet, friendly pup to join your family, she's your girl! *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
