About Woody

Woody and his girlfriend, Annie, were running around the city of Humboldt for about two weeks before they were able to be caught by our shelter. Thankfully someone was able to trap them both in her back yard which kept them still until we were able to corral the both of them. Woody has been here for a few weeks now, and his stray hold is up so it is high time to find this guy a new home! We're going to be honest, this guy is a MOOSE! However big he looks in pictures, just be aware that he is even bigger than you're thinking. Despite being such a massive dog, Woody is a big teddy bear! He loves being petted and adores being the center of attention even more. He's definitely a ladies man, but would benefit from someone willing to help him understand his size from time to time. He's just not a great leash walker which means that he's dragging you more than you're walking him. Of course, this is a skill we will work on while he's here, but be aware! We feel like Woody would love a life in the country with several acres to check out, but he would be okay as an inside mostly dog too. He is very dog and kid friendly, but again, be aware of his size! He loves to give big hugs to everyone he meets. ���� Woody is around four years old and weighs 70 pounds. He is underweight at this time and may weigh closer to 80 pounds once he has some weight back on him. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested negative for heartworm disease.
