About Achilles

Due to an unfortunate development in our household situation we are seeking to rehome one of our beloved dogs, Achilles. He is a remarkably enthusiastic 11 year old Miniature Pinscher/Toy Fox Terrier mix. He has been a loyal and protective friend of ours since he was four months old. He loves taking long walks, warm cuddles, and playing tug of war/keep away. He also loves to sing us the song of his people at anything passing by the house. Sadly, he has always had an anxious disposition and has developed fear-based aggression. We are looking for a situation in which he would feel more comfortable and likely would do best in a home led by experienced dog owners without kids or other small pets. He has experience with a variety of other dog breeds (other family pets, small breed dogs with previous boarding experience), but consistently does not seem to mix well with dogs under two years of age. We would send him with all his gear including his crate, dog beds, leashes/harnesses/collars, toys, medications, and a small collection of jackets/shirts (he gets cold). He is neutered and in excellent health, maintains a good weight around 16-17lbs, and is fully up to date on all immunizations. Rehoming fee negotiable pending interviews.
