Introducing the Irresistible Bear Meet Bear, an adorable shep/hound mix, approximately 1 year old, who has experienced abandonment and numerous changes in his short life. Originally slated for euthanasia, Bear's fate took a positive turn when he was transferred to our rescue, granting him a chance to find his forever family. This charming boy is eager to please and has a lot to offer, ready to become a beloved member of a family who will accept and love him for who he is. Here's what we've learned about Bear: he's incredibly sweet with people, and although there were reports of occasional issues with small dogs in the shelter, his time in boarding showed zero problems in that regard. During a walk, Bear even exhibited protective instincts by intervening when his walker was under attack from a loose dog. This courageous act led to the other dog fleeing. Despite facing euthanasia at the shelter due to no adoption interest, Bear's rescue stepped in to give him a second chance. Throughout his shelter stay, Bear displayed non-reactivity when passing kennels, exhibited love for treats, and showcased his knowledge of basic commands. Once someone's cherished pet, Bear now seeks a forever family to call his own. Described by his foster as a lap dog and best friend, Bear has a low energy level, sits on command, takes treats gently, and enjoys playing with a chihuahua. He simply craves affection and is ready to reciprocate with love. Bear is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and eager to embark on a new chapter with his fur-ever family.
