Knox is a gentlemen and elder statesman of 7yrs who is waiting for his forever home. He is devoted and loyal, dog friendly, has good house manners and is crate trained, fully up to date on vaccinations and wellness and has a microchip. He would love have a home of his very own and someone to give his heart to. Here are a just few reasons why senior dogs are awesome. There are many reasons to adopt a senior dog, including: Less training Senior dogs are usually potty trained and understand basic commands. They may also require less training than puppies. Calmer temperament Senior dogs have a calmer temperament because they've spent most of their energy as puppies. They're less likely to chew on furniture or explore everything. Great companions Senior dogs can make great companions and therapeutic dogs. They tend to have a calmer, caring temperament. Saving a life Adopting a senior dog gives them a second chance at life. Knox was saved from a shelter where he was Last Call. Without rescue, he wouldn't have survived due to shelter overpopulation.
