About Spring

Here is Miss Spring! After having a litter of puppies who have all since been adopted, this momma girl is ready for her new forever home. Spring comes from living in the wilderness while fending for her puppies. She was trapped and brought in for rescue with her crew. She has stayed with us for the past 6 months, adjusting to indoor living and she has come a long way. Spring is approximately a year and a half old, approximately 40 pounds. She has the energy and spunk of a puppy still, but will also sleep at my feet all day while I work from home. She loves my 2 other dogs, but my boys are not much for playing so Spring would enjoy an energetic play mate to help get her energy out. Spring is potty trained, but has anxiety when it comes to a crate. We have left her out of a crate for the past 4 months without any issues, but I'm sure she could be crate trained. Spring is not a chewer and does not get into things, but if you leave out a snack and leave the house, she has been known to steal a bite! But she has manners when you're home with her - she won't try to steal from your plate. Since Spring grew up outdoors, she has been known to like the chase when it comes to our cats. We have been trying to train this out of her, but it's a slow process. She may be best in a home without small animals or parents who will continue to train and work with her. With training, she would also benefit from resource guarding training. We have been working with her since day 1 and things have gotten much better as she has realized that food isn't as scarce as it was back when she was fending for herself! But this will also continue to need work, we just feed our dogs separately and haven't had any issues at all. Spring is 100% a cuddler and loves to relax in bed with you or loves to sleep near you. She is a happy go lucky pup and would love to find her forever home! Sprint is being fostered currently in Northeast Ohio.
