About Dunkin Donuts

Hi, my name is Dunkin (yes named after the famed Dunkin Donuts franchise). I am not as famous, but promise I'm better than any doughnut you've ever had ! I'm an 8 �%BD year old American Bulldog that was taken in by my current family during covid when my old family had a small child and another on the way. My Mom in that family didn't like me, she thought all dogs belonged outside and that's where they should live, she was mean to me and would get even more upset when I piddled in the house after she hit me. My Dad loved me though and refused to put me outside to live. Due to the issues this was causing in the family Dad reached out to a Bulldog person but it was so hard for him to give me up that he kept putting it off, until one day Mom dragged me out of my crate saying she was taking me to be euthanized. I don't know what that means but my Dad became hysterical and called the Bulldog person begging her to come and get me. This lady rushed right over and took me away to her house. I've been here for some time now. I adore the humans in this home that treat me so well, I love all the love and gentle attention I get from them. BUT, there are 2 other fur kids in the home (both males) and I am super dog particular and don't like my English bulldog brother AT ALL . Like, every time I see him I just want him to not be here so I attack him and things can get ugly truth be told. Even though my current caretaker takes ultimate precautions to keep us separate accidents do happen ( ie a door is left open, or I take out a baby gate, etc etc) so it has been determined that I need to be the only dog in my new family in order to keep the peace so to speak. It is what would make me the happiest and keep me the safest, not to share my family with other fur kids. I'm pretty laid back, love cuddles and meeting new people. I'm not very active; I love being a lady of leisure and taking long naps throughout the day. I initially enjoy taking walks, until I don't. I will walk for a bit, then I'm just done! I will plop down wherever I am and refuse to get up to go home so make sure you bring a wagon or something else to wheel me back! I'm a large-figured lady. And my dogtor says I could lose some weight, I don't get fed table scraps or a ton of treats but I am food motivated and will be the bestest girl when a bribe is involved.�%A0 In a nutshell, I would do best in a laid back home with no other animals. I do LOVE ALL people and car rides are always a plus ! Dunkin is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, current on preventatives and microchipped. She does take Dasuquin daily as a joint health supplement. Any interested applicants will need to go through IEBR's adoption process to become an approved adopter for her.
