About AJ

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** SPECIAL NEEDS - ONE EYE REMOVED Currently in Boise boarding kennels, ID AJ is typical young 1.5 year old, 60-lb lab....Silly, fun, curious... AJ loves everyone and everything. He also has TONS of energy to do whatever activity you are up for. He think that he would do well as a running partner or maybe even water sports. He is fine with big dogs, little dogs, strangers, and kids. From a recent outing with a dedicated volunteer: 'He is sweet and easily excitable. He loves treats and is learning how to play fetch. He already knows 'sit' and has great potential for someone willing to put in the work. AJ loves to sniff everything and explore his environment. While in a foster home, we learned that AJ needs a lot of space and a secure yard--he loves to run and will jump. In addition to physical exercise, AJ needs lots of mental enrichment. Chew toys are a must for when he gets bored. His adoption fee of $225 will include his health vaccines, enucleation / neuter surgery, rabies vaccine and microchip. He had something funky going on with his eye, so the rescue paid for his urgent vet care and follow-up checkups. Unfortunately, his eye was not able to be saved.
