About Smokey

Smokey is a sweet, 5 to 6 year old altered male Tibetan terrier mix. He came to my household to save him from a shelter as a prospective member of the family. He did not, however, blend well with a largely male household so he needs to be rehomed to predominantly female home. He will do best with a household that usually has someone home. He does okay with our three other small dogs, but clearly prefers to be the top dog. He is protective and possessive of his 'person' and will do best as in only dog. He tends to be clingy and anxious when left alone but is not destructive. He is well mannered, housebroken, can sleep in a crate but we clearly prefer to be with his person. He came to us malnourished, underweight, and heavily matted. His coat is not typical Tibetan Terrier and requires regular brushing. He has a lot of love to give and we hope to find a home for him where he can be his best self and happy for the rest of his life.
