About Rowan

Hi, I'm Rowan! As you can see, I'm a big, fluffy boy who weighs 75 lbs. I am approximately 3 years old and, unfortunately, I am just now learning how to socialize with other dogs and people. I like other dogs, but I am sometimes socially awkward (you might think of me as an oversized puppy), so my doggy friends need to be tolerant and patient. However, I do LOVE to play! Tug-of-war and chasing squirrels are two of my favorite things. I am food motivated, which will be a good tool for my training. I would do well under the patient care of a Chow-savvy family who understands my independent nature and is willing to give me the time, training, and space to learn how to trust and be a good fur-sibling. Because of my size and lack of socialization, I do not do well with kids of any age. My ideal home must have a fenced yard. I'm also not a big fan of leashes, but I am slowly improving. It takes me some time to trust new people, but once I know I can trust you, I am a great companion. Can you please help me find the forever home I deserve? **Rowan is located in Spring, TX.
