Everyone meet Lulu! This sweetheart was found dodging traffic at a very busy intersection. A sweet lady spotted her and became terrified that she was going to get ran over so she immediately pulled to the side of the road. She tried her best to catch Lulu without her getting hit in the process. Sweet Lulu was very frightened and immediately ran under the ladies parked car to hide. A gentleman, seeing what was happening, also pulled over and offered his assistance. Getting down on the ground he crawled under the car to retrieve Lulu and bring her to safety. The lady knew she was unable to keep little Lulu so she did the right thing and took her to the shelter. Lulu was scanned for a microchip, and she had one! This was great news! The shelter immediately reached out to her owner who told the shelter she'd come and get her in a couple of days. A couple of days???? If that had been my baby I would have burned rubber getting to that shelter'|.but, I digress. A couple of days came and went. No one showed up. A few more days went by and still no one came to get this baby. The shelter reached back out to Lulu's mommy several times but got no answer. It was finally realized that baby girl had been abandoned. Meanwhile, poor Lulu had no idea what was happening to her. She was very frightened and would cower in the back corner of her kennel shaking. We were made aware of little Lulu. At about the same time a lady had reached out to us wanting a dog just like Lulu. We sent her an application, had a home visit done and had several conversations. The lady lived in Raleigh and was excited to be traveling here to get her new baby. The day I pulled Lulu she had kennel cough; it was very minor. The potential adopter panicked because she had an older dog at home and didn't want to risk it getting sick. She ask if we could hold onto Lulu until the cough was cleared and then she'd come and complete the adoption. We agreed. Lulu did fine and we communicated with the lady letting her know everything was going great. She was excited and told us all of the things she had purchased just for Lulu. We were so happy. Then'|the text came'|the lady had decided to adopt another dog and abandoned little Lulu. She got impatient waiting because she decided she wanted a dog now. Poor Lulu, constantly being let down by her humans. Let me tell you about this little girl that no one wants. When you look at her she looks like a little old senior girl. Her hair is peppered with white strands. But don't be fooled. This baby girl is only 7 years old. She is a total sweetheart. She loves to run and play. If her human is sitting down she thinks she is supposed to be laying as close to them as possible and immediately jumps into her human's lap looking up at you with those beautiful eyes. She just wants to be loved and cherished. She immediately made herself at home and loves playing with her foster brothers and sisters. She loves to sleep in her foster mommy's bed. She'll jump onto the bed in one flying leap and immediately goes under the covers to the foot of the bed where she remains all night sleeping like a baby. She feels safe. She has done great with her potty training. She rides great in a car. She's just a happy happy girl'|no longer that scared girl dodging traffic and cowering in a kennel. Lulu is looking for her forever home. One that will love and cherish her and never abandon her again. She is a tiny little Chi weighing 6 lbs. She is 7 years old. She is great with other dogs and people. She loves running and playing in the yard so we would love to find a home that has a yard she can play in. We feel she would be good with children but prefer a home with no small children. If you would like to give Lulu her forever home and show her what it is really like to be loved and cherished, please email [email protected] for an application. Let's give this girl a Christmas Miracle of her own.
