** ADOPTED ** Pixie was found in a gated apartment community on an early morning, wearing a sweater that she must have worn during the night to keep warm. Someone cared about her. But, she didn't belong to anyone in the complex, and although our search for owners was vast, no one ever claimed her. It breaks her heart to think someone may have had to drop her off because they couldn't care for her anymore. They put her sweater on to keep her warm, and chose a gated community where they hoped she'd be safe. Pixie is now in search of an new and forever family. She's estimated at 9-10 years old, cutest little Shih Tzu / Chi mix (we're guessing) and she weighs 8 pounds. She does well with other small and easy-going dogs, but also would be fine with some easy-going people who are home a lot, with the ability to give her lots of attention. This tiny girl is a little timid at first so if there are children in the home, she prefers they be at least 14 years old and of a mild, responsible, kind, and respectful nature. She will not be a fan of a rowdy hectic environment. Her new family should be patient as she is going to be unsure of things at first. She will gain confidence each week and blossom into a delightful little girl. We've had bloodwork done for Pixie and she's looking good and healthy. Her teeth were very brown and some were loose so we had a dental done for her -- she had some extractions but is doing great. Pixie is now current on vaccines and microchipped. She'll go to her new home with collar and ID tag, harness and leash. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one.
