Hi, I'm Gracie Mae! At approximately 2 years old, and weighing around 70 lbs., I'm an impressive-looking gal. I'm strong, and particularly muscular through my mandibular area. My blue muzzle, slightly floppy ears, and the fact that I barely shed at all make me pretty cool, in my humble opinion. Also, I'm house-trained, no accidents in the home with me, don't worry! -What I most love? Hmmm, that's a tough one for me because what I most loved has passed- she was Andrea, my mommy, or my 'owner' as you humans call it. Ms. Andrea was almost always home with me, partly because she had MS. -She loved being outside, just like me. We loved walking together. We were besties, and I felt important with Andrea because, well, taking care of her and our home was like my job. It gave me sense of purpose, and this is so important for a dog. Without my mom Andrea, I feel a little anxious and confused, but I'm SO grateful Andrea's daughter, Susan, took me in. Sue took me in even though she doesn't want a dog. Susan's great, but she works full time, has 2 kids (one is a feisty little guy in his 'terrible 2s'!), is a single mom, and isn't much of a 'big dog person,' and I know, I know, I'm a big dog! -At least I don't jump though, right?! And I'm always happy to see friends come in the door, especially men, I love men. Now, I can be a little 'imposing' at times, remember that I was kind of 'in charge' at my old house, so that's just me trying to help run the show, and keep everything running smoothly. I'll learn my place as a 'regular dog' again I'm sure... or who knows, maybe I'll get to be a 'service dog' again?! ~A girl can dream, right? Kids, I love em,' but little ones that are crazy-energetic aren't really my favorite. Dogs, hmmm, I don't know... I want to like dogs. I'd like to have 'dog friends' I guess, but dogs usually bark at me when I'm on walks and what not. They're just jealous of and intimidated by my strong jawline I know, but if I could be around dog-savvy-dogs some day, I think that'd be nice enough... I'm just not used to it, so we'd have to move slowly with that at first. Cats, no idea, you chase them, right?
