BIOGRAPHY Max and Topher are sweet seniors who are super easy to love and care for. Max is a 12-year-old male smooth red dachshund and Topher is 10-year-old female smooth red & black piebald dachshund. Both weigh 14 lbs. and are house trained and good with other dogs. They have not been around cats or children during their time in foster care, though they are easy going. They've had a rough time lately, as their owner died, and they found themselves dumped in the shelter. Even though they were so scared and traumatized, they adapted very well and behaved perfectly in their foster home. They are house trained (when let out on a regular schedule), got along with their foster dog siblings, and sleep all night together in their doggie play pen (although we're sure they would have rather slept in the big bed)! Their favorite thing besides dinner time is cuddling under the blankets on the couch and competing for the closest spot to their human. They also like exploring and running around in the yard. They are leash trained, so they would probably love to go for short walks. Although they don't play with toys, they love to chew on safe bones. If you are looking for devoted best friends, whose main goal in life is to be near you, then Max and Topher are perfect for you! Max & Topher are neutered/spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and just had dental procedures with 20 extractions each.
