I'm quite heartbroken to be writing this. Buttercup has been a part of our family since 2017, making her 5 years old in December. She was and remains a goofy, lovable, rambunctious English bulldog who could spend hours getting belly rubs or just snoring in the kennel. She loves short walks and is great on a leash. The reason that we are making this difficult decision is that she is quite territorial over her kennel and food, and has instigated fights with our other dog over both. She also is, in true bulldog fashion, a strict 'enforcer' and likes to tell the other dog and sometimes kids what to do. With that in mind we have not been comfortable with her roaming the home freely and getting the love she deserves from our two (soon to be three) children. She deserves a warm and loving home with only adults or older children where she is the only dog. Buttercup is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed, and loves her grain free diet for her sensitive tummy. She has been praised for her good health by all the veterinarians she has seen. She is very low maintenance and content to sleep her day away if we let her.
