Please read carefully before applying. At Juno's Den, the priority is to find homes able, willing and committed to meet our dogs needs. If meeting any of their needs requires you to make sacrifices or modify your lifestyle, we strongly recommend not to apply at this time. Please note one of our requirements is to periodically be in contact after the adoption and we do not offer meet and greets in most cases, since our pups are mostly rescued in Mexico and we currently don't have enough foster homes locally for all of them. Bella needs an active home, preferably with at least one adult working from home or a family with hybrid schedules. Bella was rescued in a small town in Mexico and sent to our friends in Guadalajara last year. She hasn't had an easy life and had somewhat adjusted to living in a boarding ranch with many other dogs. During the summertime, we decided to help her find a home in the #pnw and flew her to Seattle, where she initially stayed at a foster home for about a month. She wasn't getting along with the senior resident dog of her foster home, so she joined my pack while we found her family. She was adjusting well to our routine and enjoyed palying with the other pups outside until the end of summer when their routines changed slightly because of the weather. They were not spending as much time outside, and that seemed to be stressing her and making her nervous around the pack. After an unexpected fight with one of my pups, we had to adjust routines again to give her more outlets, enrichment, and opportunities to decompress. Bella is a fearful dog and has a hard time trusting. She needs someone who can understand that and give her the chance to blossom. She is extremely affectionate and would hug you forever if she could. She is also calm most of the time, very food motivated and smart, which makes trianing with her quite enjoyable. She has displayed some resource guarding with her food puzzles, but not with her regular food bowl. The ideal environment for her to thrive in would be a quiet household with a single adult or a couple, preferably women with no other dogs or animals. City life would likely be too much for her to handle, so the suburbs would be ideal. She is crate trained, housebroken, and not anxious or destructive. She is just a very sensitive girl with big emotions she needs help managing. Very cuddly and affectionate with people. Has also displayed some leash reactivity, but is currently in training and improving considerably.
