About VELMA

Adoption Fee: $350
Rat Terrier / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Adoptable VELMA! Velma had a rough start. She was an unclaimed stray that had lost her way, was hiding under someone's porch and required trapping to get her to safety. Once Velma knew she was safe, she relaxed and has become a humongous cuddle bug and loves snuggling into her foster Dad's neck. Velma is a very intelligent dog and knows a number of commands. She is a is very personable girl and has also started to learn that toys can be fun! She loves to run and play in the yard and has a good recall. Velma has no potty accidents and is pretty good on leash. Velma was very wary of unfamiliar dogs, at first, but is now showing interest in other dogs. She needs a slow introduction for her to process and know all is good and safe. Velma has had only brief introductions to cats without incident. Velma is about 2 years old, weighs 38 lbs, is spayed, vaccinated, Heartworm negative, on Heartworm & Flea prevention, microchipped & crate trained. If there are children in the home they need to be at least 10 years old & have a meet since Velma has not experienced children since she has been in our rescue. Velma may make a great addition to your family! Schedule a meet with this sweet girl to see if she may be a good match & start a 2 week trial! Velma's breed mix description is a guess according to her appearance. If you are interested in Velma, please email us at [email protected]. We offer a 2 week trial period with all our dogs to make sure they are a good fit in their new home. You must be at least age 25 yrs old to adopt for our rescue. Thank you for your interest in Ester & for viewing her posting!
