SPECIAL DOG SEEKING SPECIAL PERSON/ FAMILY Hi, my name is Vader. I am a black lab mix. I first was a rescue dog as a cute puppy. I am now 4 years old and a very handsome man if I do say so! A nice family adopted me, but as time went by, they weren't able to meet my needs although the tried their very best. My ideal family would be a retired family or someone who works from home. Maybe you like cats, maybe not, but I hope you don't have any at our house. I like kids, but I do better with older kids like teens. I like dogs, but prefer low key/lazy dogs or seniors. You see, unfortunately I have developed a case of anxiety. Luckily I am in professional training for this. I also suffered with a rear knee injury that was fixed with screws and rods when I was younger The doctor thinks it could cause arthritis as I get older, so I'm am taking Cosequin for joint health as a preventative. That way I can be the healthiest boy possible. If you haven't thrown in the towel in on me yet, now let me tell you how special I am! COMMANDS: I understand come, sit, down, place and heel. LOVE: water and swimming WALKS: great on a leash with minor corrections. MEDICAL: up to date on shots and preventables. Neutered MAINTENANCE: my coat is really easy to maintain and a shiny black color. You know, the color that goes with everything!! But what it goes best with is snuggles with my people. Even with my special issues, it doesn't make me an impossible fit for someone's home. I know there is a special person/family who can understand me. I promise I will be devoted to you and we can spend our forever loving each other. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
