�٠�Betty needs our HELP. The shelter has given her a deadline of 6 PM on 11/21. She needs an adopter or rescue. �%9D�Maricopa County Animal Control is not granting any extensions, and they will euthanize Carmel if she is not rescued or adopted by the due date ��%A4� Please �٪%8F do not delay. Please help by sharing.�%9Dѕ�%8F This scared girl arrived at the shelter on 10/31 and she was so terrified. Betty had to be taken to the kennel in a 'doggy taxi' because she did not even want to walk. A little over a week after intake, staff took her out to the play yard for an evaluation. Staff coaxed her with treats and she eventually took them. She flattened to the ground and they were able to leash her. Halfway to the play yard, poor baby flatted to the ground again and wouldn't walk. Staff carried her, and once she was in the play yard she was still so fearful. She layed close to the fence trembling and tail tugged. A second evaluation was done about 4 days later, and the staff had similar experienced with her. Oh this baby breaks my heart ���zand I wish I could comfort her.�٤� It is unclear if Betty was surrendered by her owner or if she was a stray. There was a fight and the person that was trying to break up the fight got bit in the leg. Based on the information that is available, it is not confirmed which dog bit. Per the shelter: **Due to canine being unable to walk on leash, canine should be placed in an adoptive home with a secure yard and not an apartment setting** **Only dog requirement due to bite involving fighting with another dog, adult only home due to dog's handling sensitivities** Can you help her?
