About Ginger

Ginger is a sweet girl who is 4 and a half months old as of mid-November '23. Ginger is visually impaired but that doesn't stop her at all. Ginger understands 'sit' well and is patient when waiting for her food. We're working on 'come' and she's picking up on it faster than Nala, her foster sister. She can't follow the ball when playing fetch so she lets Nala get it, sort of hides halfway and pounces on Nala to get involved. She's getting more snuggly, not a real big cuddler yet, but at least when she's tired she'll do a little leaning in. Still seems to be doing well with what vision she has and really only seems to have issues outside on sunny day; she does well indoors and on cloudy days with things within a few feet. She's even started running and jumping a bit, she hadn't done that before. Ginger does well on leash and is crate and potty trained. She also does well off leash for about a mile as long as you have music playing on your phone so she can follow the music. Ginger would do best in a home with other dogs for her to play with. She is great with kids, cats, and dogs. She rides well in a car and loves to meet new people. Ginger probably has some Australian cattle dog (heeler) in her.
