About Chai

The shelter has given her a deadline of 6 PM on 11/21. �%9D�Maricopa County Animal Control is not granting any extensions, and they will euthanize Chai if she is not rescued or adopted by the due date ��%A4� Please �٪%8F do not delay. Please help by sharing.�%9Dѕ�%8F She was found near Ray Road and Alma School, and brought in as a stray on 10/5 with her friend Melissa/#A4912421. The finder stated that Chai was friendly with adults and kids (did not state the age), and was allowed to roam inside the home freely. At intake, she Chai had soft wiggly body and was walked to the kennel. In 3 days, she was fast tracked for adoption without evaluation, because of her kennel presence. ���%8FSadly, in about a week's time, she developed the doggy cold.���� Volunteers that have had Chai out of her kennel say that she pulls moderately on the leash and does not react around dogs. She will grab your fingers in a playful manner and is a bit mouthy. It is best that this is corrected immediately. Chai has been given a deadline for relapsing respiratory disease. The shelter environment is so stressful and she can't seem to overcome the doggy cold. Being separated from her friend probably adds to the stress. Poor Chai.
