About Rusty

Rusty is a sweet little guy with big, worried eyes. I rescued Rusty from a bad home situation. He was staying all alone for hours and hours without food or water. He was not socialized with other dogs or humans. I brought him into out little pack and he had no problems with our toy poodle or yorkie or the 3 cats. At first he was very timid toward my daughter and me, but after some good food, some soft petting and sweet talking to the little guy, he began to warm up to us. He is not a barker. Unfortunately, we found out that he does not like men. He growls and barks at them. I have not introduced him to kids, so I don't know how he would react to them. He is a little sweet boy to the women in my family. He needs a new Furrever home with an owner who is around often, who keeps a consistent routine with feeding, potty time and play time and who is ready to shower this little guy with lots of love and hugs. He's going to give back double the love you give him. He needs to put on a few pounds, and that's not going to take long because he has begun to eat his meals very eagerly. He weighs about 11 lbs. A fenced in yard would be nice and a furfriend is always helpful but not a necessity. Please consider giving this little guy his forever home and your forever heart.
