About Jax

Jax is a very sweet loyal member of our family which consists of myself and my 2 daughters ages 16 and 9. I got him from a breeder in Ohio when he was 4 months old and later found out he was part of a very large puppy mill. He is mostly house trained, loves going to the dog park and has lots of friends there. He is definitely high energy and sadly with my new job, I cannot cater to that. I need to let anyone who may be considering Jax to know that he does not take to strangers very well immediately. It is possible though because my he warmed up to my boyfriend after visiting him my home 4 or 5 times. I briefly worked with a dog trainer who says his fear of strangers is anxiety based and he would do well working with a behaviorist, and that he's definitely not what you would call untrainable. Once he warms up to you like he did with us, you can expect lots of cuddles and hours of him wanting to play tug of war or just running around with him.
