About Rusty

Rusty is a little male long hair chihuahua mix I rescued from a bad home situation. He was being left for hours alone. No food. No water. No companionship. I brought him into our little pack, a male toy poodle and a yorkie. Rusty was very shy and tense with me at first. He ignored my 2 little dogs which are very friendly. He wouldn't eat. I'm retired so I was home with him every day. After about 24 hours and good chicken bites and treats, soft talking and a comfy, safe doggy bed and crate, he began to come around. l have a small fenced in area of my yard where my dogs go out. He learned to go out with them and began to warm up to them and me. Unfortunately we found out he was not treated well at all by a man so he does not like men. I have not introduced him to children. He is a precious little boy and he is 1.5 years old and he is part long hair chihuahua and part beagle. He's not a barker unless a man comes in. He needs a home with consistency and lots of love. A fenced yard would be great. Rusty will be a wonderful Furrever little boy for someone. He is so special. He's very good with his house training and he does Not shed.
