About Jakobee

Introducing Jakobee in Mooresville, NC who will be accepting applications for a forever family! He is a beautiful red merle with gorgeous blue eyes, approx. 45 pounds and around 2 years old. He is not only handsome, but he is the sweetest pup you will meet! Jakobee was found near the home of a kind gentleman in a rural area, most likely dumped. He was thin and matted but his coat is now fluffy and he has gained weight. He is a gentle soul, very submissive and may not have been treated so well in the past. Jakobee loves belly rubs, walks and treats. He has excellent leash manners and is crate trained, sleeping in his crate on a nice soft bed with his toys each night. Jakobee is not a big barker and a pretty chill guy for an Aussie. He is potty trained but does need to go out regularly and you must be in tune if he drinks a lot of water. He takes treats gently and is not food aggressive at all. His only fault is too much enthusiasm which we are working on and he now sits nicely for meals. Currently, Jakobee he is not a fan of car rides but who can blame him? He doesn't know all the wonderful places he can go! He also doesn't climb stairs - he goes up a few in and out of house but those slick wooden stairs are scary and he has a hard time not sliding on them. he is very food motivated but can be a counter surfer who is very easily corrected. Jakobee's wish list includes a yard or place to have some safe fun and a canine companion (although he would be fine being the center of someone's world!) He is a very special guy, a gentle soul who has a lot of love to give. If you think you are the person or people of his dreams, please submit an application. Meet and greet will be required. He has not been exposed to cats in his foster home so we are unsure of his reaction. Jakobee is up-to-date on his shots and preventative and will be neutered on December 7 and available to go home to his forever family after that.
