Nala is a pit bull mix located at the Pitt County Animal Services shelter (a rural shelter that is overflowing in Greenville, NC). I've been a volunteer of the shelter for about a year now and can honestly say Nala is one of my absolute favorite dogs. She is so incredibly affectionate. My husband and I took her out for a lunch date earlier this week and she was so well behaved sitting at our feet while we ate. Nala does pull a bit while walking on leash. Based on potty habits at the shelter, we believe Nala is at least partially house-trained (dogs only get out once/day and some can't quite hold it for 24 hours - Nala does NOT make a mess in her kennel and goes immediately once let out - so she may do well in a home where she can go more than once a day). I am a volunteer at the shelter. Please feel free to e-mail me if shelter staff are unable to answer your call.
