We adopted Roo a little over three months ago, wanting to save a puppy from a shelter rather than buy one. He was around 7 months. As he has gotten older he has shown aggressive tendencies towards our toddler (resource guarding me, the toddler's mother) which has resulted in him being quite afraid of Roo and a lot of upset in our house. Despite training we have not been able to remedy this situation, especially because my toddler is not able to properly understand/participate in training. Other than this he is a loving, snuggly and mostly quiet dog. We suggest Roo as a companion dog to preferably one person, who can take him on big walks/hikes and has space to throw a ball for him. He is loyal, smart but we think needs to be in a household without little people.
