About Brooke

Brooke is a 4 year old 6 pound female chihuahua. She came to us from the local shelter where she was surrendered with her 2 puppies and another chihuahua as their owner had too many dogs. All 4 of the dogs were very scared and under socialized, so the shelter reached out as they thought they would do better in a foster home environment. Brooke was very scared and timid upon entering her foster home but after about a week she started coming out of her shell and started to trust her foster mom asking to be petted. She now follows her foster mom everywhere and is a total lap dog and loves giving kisses and getting all the attention. Her new family will need to be patient and understand that she will be slow to trust new people and will be scared and timid in new environments. Because of her shy and timid tendencies Brooke would prefer a home with no young children and a fenced in yard where she can run and play freely. She is very playful and loves playing with all the dogs in her foster home even the ones that don't really want to play. She gets along with the cats in her foster home but will chase them if they run, so she would probably do best in a home with dog savvy cats. She is housetrained and will use potty pads as well as go potty outside. Brooke is learning to walk on a leash and rides well in a car. Brooke is spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped, and her adoption fee is $350.00.
