Hi there! I'm Sophie, a charming white and brown pit bull with a love for car rides and peanut butter. I also enjoy feeling the sunshine on my face. At 4 years old, I'm a spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm-negative girl weighing 50 lbs. I'm house trained, though I'm not a fan of crates or leashes. New things and people can be a bit scary for me, so I need a patient family to help me overcome my fears. I'm great with children and other dogs, though I haven't been tested with cats. I can be if you'd like. I do bark at strangers when they come into the yard, but don't worry-I don't bite. I just need a little time to warm up to new faces. I enjoy sleeping in bed with people and other dogs, and I even share a dog bed for daily naps. My foster mom has been wonderful, cuddling me and making me feel safe. She says I'm a sweet and gentle girl who deserves a loving home. I came from Gaston County Animal Care & Enforcement, where a kind shelter employee took care of me when I was really scared and gave me delicious peanut butter. I'm very grateful for that, but now I'm ready to find my forever family. If you think you could be the one for me, please contact my rescue. I can't wait to meet you and start our new life together. I'm currently located in Clemmons, NC, but OSSD dogs can be transported out of state. Let's make some wonderful memories together! Fill out an application to learn more about me.
