About Jodie

Jodie is four years old, purebred black and tan coonhound. Spayed. 45 LBS. Well behaved house-trained. Has some resource guarding so would do best in a home with no other dogs. Also, no cats. She does fine with most dogs outside of the home, but not inside the home where she may become more dominant and guarding. She is a total sweetheart, LOVES people and would do best in a home where there is a family young kids, and even babies. She does great with children. Her passion in life is to be outdoors 'hunting', sniffing, catching small critters. She is not a barker inside the home, outside she loves to run wild while yelping. In the evening she loves to snuggle up on the couch with her people and watch t.v (YES, she watches t.v!). She eats all raw food and it has been amazing for her health. She has all of her shots and is very healthy. No meds. She is low energy inside the home and high energy outside. She needs daily exercise of at least 30 minutes where she is running or actively moving. We are located in southern Oregon. The only reason I am giving her up is because I do not have the time to properly care and dedicate to her. She ended up with me when I separated from my irresponsible ex who brought her into our lives without my permission and I ended up caring for her in the end. She is truly special and deserves to much more than what I can provide for her. I love Jodie dearly and will only give her up to the best possible home. I would love to see her happy, thriving and living her best life, full of love and adventure in her new home. HUGE plus if the home is on acreage and fenced in.
