Meet Bonzo, formerly Garbanzo Bonzo, a neutered Yellow Lab/Pit Bull, is one of the sweetest, most wonderful puppies you'll ever meet. He came to ARRF at the beginning of September with two broken legs and various injuries. We may never know how he came to be this way, but we have nursed him back to health, and he is now right as rain. Bonzo loves to be hugged and is very calm and quiet little boy. He is great with other dogs and would do great with another dog in the home. His button ears and his tendency to herd us make us think he may have some Australian Shepherd in his mix. Bonzo will be around 50 lbs. when fully grown. He was born July 14, 2023, and is about 16 weeks old. His coloring is yellow and white. He is a typical puppy, and does well when left alone for short periods of time and happy when running around the house with his humans. All ARRF adoptees will have up-to-date shots, be microchipped, and will have been spayed/neutered when they become adoptable. Puppies should be good with gentle children, dogs, and cats. All puppies will need to be housetrained. Puppies need attention, so prospective adopters should have someone either at home during the day or be able to make frequent visits during the day. ARRF strongly encourages puppy adopters to enroll in positive reinforcement classes as early as possible. It will make a tremendous difference in your mutual appreciation and enjoyment of each other. This sweet boy has endured a lot in his short little life, so ARRF wants to find a wonderful forever home where he will learn to be all the dog he can be and enjoy life to the fullest.
