About Tinsley

Adoption Fee: $400
Bernese Mountain Dog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

#Gorgeous, #Laidback & oh so #Bashful, Ladies & Gentlemen meet #Tinsley. She's a 5 year old #BerneseMountianDog who weighs in around 78lbs. Tinsley is a #PuppyMillSurvivor who was rescued from an Amish Mill in Ohio about 2 months ago. Sadly it took her a while to decompress and get adjusted to what it's like to live in an actual home and find out what it's like to be a real dog. It completely broke our hearts when Tinsley came into rescue and completely shut down. But as of today, our girl has finally come out of her shell. And let us tell you, this big baby girl is just as #Sweet as she is #Beautiful and oh does she love to #Cuddle. Tinsley is your typical #Introvert, as she likes to sit back, watch and observe from her favorite place in the house which is the couch. The couch is honestly her throne (Her Safe Place) and she's just simply the queen. Tinsley is a little apprehensive and nervous at first, but once she knows you're a friend she will warm up with minutes. She's a huge fan of women and mature kids, but can be a bit timid around men. Tinsley is absolutely obsessed with her foster dad and loves to give him lots of Boops and snuggles. The cutest thing is when he asks for a kiss aka a 'Boop' and Tinsley presses her nose against his lips. She loves to be pet and shown affection. At times you may feel like Tinsley is uncomfortable while petting her, but the second you stop she'll nudge your hand for more loving. Tinsley even runs straight to the door to greet her foster dad now when he walks in which is huge progress for her. But what Tinsley loves most of all, is actually being apart of a pack mentality with 2 or more laid-back dogs. She loves to cuddle up with her foster brothers and sisters. Being around other dogs truly helps her thrive and boosts her self confidence at the end of the day. Tinsley is Calm, Cool and Collected and would adjust perfect to a laid-back home environment. She'd thrive best with either a retired couple that has other laid back dogs or in a home with another middle aged dog to bond with. Tinsley gets along great with the cat in her current foster home and dogs well with mature kids 14 & up. She's great with kids, but Unfortunately younger kids in the home full time might bring a little too much fun to the party and Tinsley does have anxiety. Tinsley is like a huge cat and wants love on her own terms. She's very food motivated and has almost learned all of her basic commands. Tinsley is non destructive to her home environment, but will chew on blankets when she's anxious. She's 100% potty trained, 100% crate trained and does well on a leash. Please understand that Tinsley DOES HAVE PAST TRAUMA from the mill that may not ever go away. She gets spooked very easily. She will require a fenced in yard, as we could definitely see her being a runner. The first two weeks it took about 15 minutes each time she went out to coax her out from underneath the deck. As of today, she comes out within seconds the second you say where's daddies pretty girl or say who wants some yummies. As of today, Tinsley is a brand new girl! She's now initiating affectionate and would do just about anything for pets. Tinsley has now started to play with her foster dad and even loves toys now. It's absolutely incredible how far she has truly come. Whomever adopts this perfect girl will be one luck family. ***Adoption Requirements: No Exceptions*** - Fully Fenced in yard required - No invisible fences - Must Have A Minimum of Two Dogs In The Home for Her to Bond With - No Kids Under 14, Grand Kids Visiting is Perfectly Fine For All Ages Her adoption fee is $400 & will include her distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, & lepto vaccines; deworming; microchip; heartworm test; fecal test & being fixed.
