**WE ONLY DO HOME VISITS FOR ADOPTIONS NEAR BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** PLEASE READ HIS FULL BIO BEFORE APPLYING TO ADOPT Meet the charming Harrison, a happy 5-year-old, 8-pound bundle of love with a spirit that knows no bounds! Harrison's story is one of resilience and hope. Rescued by the compassionate folks at Get A Life, he's a special little dude looking for a kind and understanding human who can cater to his unique needs. Despite facing challenges, he remains a charmer with an irresistible personality. Harrison may identify as able-bodied, but his little back legs don't function as they should. However, he doesn't let that slow him down! With the help of a funky diaper, he enjoys his own transport and savors the joy of speeding around, feeling the humid breeze ruffling his silky hair. He is truly a master at living life to the fullest and has an endless supply of love and affection to offer his future human. This happy boy's journey hasn't been easy. After narrowly escaping a dire fate at a kill facility, he found safety and love in the arms of his rescuers. Harrison's lower lumbar paralysis necessitates manual bladder expression multiple times a day, but he handles it with grace and unwavering spirit. His bowel movement releases on its own, and with some assistance, it progresses smoothly. He may have special needs, but he doesn't let them define him; he happily plays fetch and finds joy in every moment. Harrison's previous people did provide him with spinal surgery, but they neglected to offer the necessary rehabilitation. Thankfully, since then, he's received a range of therapies, including acupuncture, laser therapy, physical therapy, and aqua therapy. The dedicated specialists have trained his caregivers on continuing his therapy at home. Harrison shows signs of feeling in his paws and responds positively to the treatments, occasionally displaying strength to push up, even if he cannot stand. There's hope that with continued home therapy, he may even regain the ability to walk. While he is not currently seeing a specialist, he remains in loving hands that understand and cater to his unique needs. This absolutely adorable little guy may have wheels to zoom around the house and a heartwarming ability to win the hearts of everyone he meets. We're seeking a forever home for Harrison, where his monthly grooming, heartworm prevention, and daily health care and maintenance can be attended to. His adoption fee of $200 contributes towards his vetting, therapy, and rehabilitation. If you feel you can offer Harrison the love, care, and understanding he deserves, he'll repay you with endless kisses and a fantastic personality that will brighten your days. Embrace this remarkable spirit, and together, let's embark on a journey of love, joy, and the fulfillment of Harrison's potential. Check his%A0VIDEO PLAYLIST%A0.
