This sweet, stunning girl 'Mitra' is looking for a forever home. We don't know her full past, but she came into the shelter as a stray, was adopted and then found again as a stray and brought back :( She was a volunteer favorite at the shelter and was then adopted by an awesome volunteer/dog walker who fell in love with her sweet demeanor. Unfortunately, Mitra has had a couple of unexpected encounters with the adopter's other dog, and for the safety of the adopter's other dog and Mitra, it's best if Mitra goes to another home as the only pet. Her mom is torn up about this but needs to keep the best interest of all parties in mind. According to her mom: Mitra is 3 1/2 years old and about 55-60 lbs. She loves people and would do best in a home with older kids or adults. She is a great traveler in the car, does great having quiet time in her crate, is house trained, loves attention and treats. She is a little reactive to squirrels and sometimes other dogs when walking but overall an amazing dog. I can also speak to how much Mitra is loved. She was one of my favorites to walk at the shelter ,and I even took her out on a day trip and she was an angel! Please text or call (336-776-7886) if you or anyone is interested in meeting her, fostering her, or adopting her!
