About Cheeta - Leo Gecko

Adoption Fee: $100.00
Reptile/Amphibian
Age: Young Adult

Hello! My name is Cheeta and I am looking for a new family - could it be you? I am a pretty happy little lizard and like to relax and chill with my family. If cared for right, I can live up to 20 years and grow as long as 10 inches! I may be a small lizard but I'm a big commitment. Unlike other geckos, I don't have sticky fingers to climb up walls. I am fairly delicate but hardy so I can be handled gently, though if scared I can drop my tail. This means I lose my fat reserves. It will grow back but it's better if I never lose it in the first place. A fat tail means that I am healthy! I am nocturnal so I like to eat and socialize in the evening with my people. I am also an insectivore, which means I love eating a variety of bugs! Most important, I need to be housed all by myself. My breed does not cohabitate, even if another gecko is the opposite gender. It's a no-no! I was brought to the shelter for emergency boarding and unfortunately, my family was not able to reclaim me. That's okay, I am in the loving care of the rescue and ready for my forever home. Maybe with you? If you would like to get to know more about me, just click the Application button below my profile on the rescue website, here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/12469 PLEASE NOTE: 1- We can only accept applications from interested parties who are in or near San Diego County, California at this time. 2- We do not ship reptiles but we may be willing to work with you if you are willing to travel if you are still in Southern California. 3- #2 will depend on the animal that you are applying for and is at the discretion of the board of directors.
