About Boo - Ball Python

Hello! My name is Boo - but don't be scared! My foster calls me Baby-Boo :) I am easy to handle and I behave myself with my foster family. Being nocturnal, I spend most of the day sleeping in my hide but I do like to come out in the evening to socialize. Sometimes I will still be awake in the morning, too! Though there is no way to really tell what age I am, based on my size I am considered a juvenile still. My species can live a long and healthy life of up to 30 to 40 years. Bringing me into your family is a lifelong commitment, for both of us! Currently, I am 2 feet long and growing. Fun fact about me - I prefer sphagnum moss to help me with my sheds more than anything else. Since the foster isn't quite sure what I am yet, it is good to know that adult female ball pythons will average 3 to 5 feet long, and adult male ball pythons average 2 to 3 feet in size. As a full adult, I can weigh between 3 and 5 lbs. I will require my own habitat that is secure with the right diet, habitat, substrate, temperature, and humidity. Don't worry, the rescue will provide you with all the information that you will need to prepare for my arrival. I was originally purchased at a pet store and unfortunately, my owner had to move shortly after and couldn't take me with them so I went to the shelter and then the nice people at SBRSC found me a foster family.
