About Jake

Jake is a soon-to-be 11-year-old Shih Tzu. As far as I know, he is full-blood. He is a good dog and needs a new home where he will be loved and cared for. I am no longer able to give him the care he needs as he requires visits to the vet for his medical conditions. He has an issue with his thyroid which causes him to lose his hair. The medication helps his hair grow back. He is also anxious when left alone. He is leash-trained. He is good with other dogs that are also his size but not bigger dogs. He chases cats but has never had one around enough to know if he is good with them or not. He is good with adults and kids. He is calm-natured and has never been aggressive. I need to find him a new home ASAP. I am no longer able to give him the care he needs as I am a single mom of twin 1-year-olds. He went to live with my dad when I had my twins, but my dad has since passed away and I brought him back to my house. I am not able to afford his vet bills or give him the attention he needs.
