About Monroe

��%BD��%BDͻMonroe hiking with foster mom��%BD��%BD%90%BE This happy, active, silly boy Monroe is STILL looking for his PAWfect match! He is a 1-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix that weighs 56lbs. Monroe loves to get attention. In return, he will make sure to give you all his love. Monroe is a jumper, a runner, and loves the outdoors! He loves to chew but if you keep him entertained with toys, he will stay away from chewing anything else. He's stubborn but very intelligent! Monroe loves to be active! Monroe does not like to be home alone. If he is, he can be left in his crate. He barks at other dogs he doesn't know. Once he's comfortable, he's doesn't bark and is very playful. He likes to feel reassured by his human. Monroe is potty trained. He knows sit, paw, down, and roll over. He likes treats and is a very quick learner. His foster would recommend an agility training course for him because he has a lot of potential to learn jumping tricks and much more. Monroe is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. He is currently on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Monroe loves large dogs but he would also do great as an only dog. He loves to play. He's currently living with cats but the cats have let him know that they don't like to play and he respects their space. If you have a cat or smaller dog, just make sure they'll be okay with how playful he is at first. Monroe is very playful and is great with bigger kids. He's good around toddlers but he likes to jump and forgets his size and strength. Monroe requires a house with a backyard as well as daily walks around the neighborhood/park. He needs a tall fence since he likes to jump. Monroe needs to brushed every other day. He's great at letting you bathe him and loves to be brushed. Overall: If you like the outdoors and be active, you will be very lucky to have Monroe. He did a road trip to North Carolina and he felt at nature hiking trails. He doesn't leave your side and will keep up with you whether it's running or walking. He has a great amount of energy but is very sweet. He is also very loyal to his human.
