About Nilla

Nilla is a 7 year old, 9.5 pound female Pomeranian LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: Lots of lovin'! HIGHLIGHTS: Sweet, fluffy little snuggler! Nilla is a sweet and playful cream colored Pomeranian who was surrendered to us by her owner. She loves to play with both people and other dogs! Nilla is very friendly and will approach you with kisses, but she doesn't enjoy being picked up. She allows you to, but we can tell it makes her nervous. She enjoys being petted though and likes attention. Nilla plays nicely with other dogs, but in the right home we think she would enjoy being an only pet, soaking up all the attention! She is in a foster home with a cat and has no problem with it. She has not been around children but we think she would be good with older kids who are familiar with small dogs. When it comes to feeding time, Nilla likes to have her own space to enjoy her meals. She travels well in the car, typically looking out the window and then eventually settling in for a nap. She sits very nicely for her bath, blow dry, and brushing. She is so soft and fluffy, but all that hair takes some work! Nilla is working on her potty training and will go outside when prompted, but still has accidents in the house. This will improve with time and consistent training. She walks well on a leash, but we think she would prefer a fenced in yard to run around in and explore. Nilla enjoys having her own space so she sleeps in her kennel at night and sometimes even chooses to hang out in it during the day when she isn't playing. Nilla is a sweet, snuggly, and playful little gal who would love a family to call her own! She has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, wormed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. She is scheduled for a dental in a couple of weeks and that procedure is covered by the rescue at our vet. Nilla is a beautiful little girl who is going to make someone very happy! Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
