Stella's been waiting far too long'| As of June 3, 2025, Stella has spent 1,844 days in foster care-that's over 5 years without a forever home. While her foster family has shown her love and patience, nothing compares to having a family of her own to snuggle up with each night. Stella is just over 10%BD years old, and she originally came to PMAR as a puppy. Sadly, she was returned in May 2020 due to changes in her adopter's living situation-and she's been waiting ever since. She's a sweet, shy girl who truly shines when she feels safe. Stella would do best as the only pet in the home, though she might be okay with a calm, dog-savvy cat. She's also incredibly smart-she knows 'No' (begrudgingly), 'Wait,' 'Place,' 'Down,' 'Sit,' 'Off,' and 'Come.' Stella enjoys the simple pleasures: sniffy walks, sunshine, and a quiet spot to relax. She walks beautifully on leash and loves being outdoors. Ϭ She deserves more than waiting. She deserves a home. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
