About Luna

Luna is 10-year-old mixed breed of Pitbull and American Bulldog. She came to live with me at age 5 as a rescue. Before I met her, I was afraid of dogs, and she helped me to overcome that fear. She is the most kind, loving and submissive dog I have ever met. She loves people and loves to be loved. She helped raise my cat (who now thinks he is a dog too) and is best friends with him. She loves to wrestle with the cat and is always kind and makes sure he is okay when she does, checking on him whenever he acts like he is hurt or even if he sneezes :). She hardly ever barks unless she gets excited and wants to play. I've never had a single problem with her and other dogs. She often doesn't even acknowledge other dogs unless they go near her. She has been my hiking partner for many years, staying right beside me without a leash, and listens well. In her older years, she has slowed down and is unable to go on hikes with me as I go too far for her to keep up. But she loves walking still as long as she doesn't have to walk more than a mile. My life has become very busy and sadly she has been neglected because of it. She deserves a home with people who would give her attention. Allowing her to be around people more and lots of affection. She spends most of her days alone with my cat and I can tell she is feeling sad as the days go by. She loves car rides and going to the store with me when she gets to, and I know she would love to have someone who would give her the loving support she needs. She deserves the best, and it breaks my heart that I can't give that to her. Anyone who brought her into their home would be blessed.
