About Jane Austen

Jane Austen came from a local library parking lot. She would jump in the feeder's car, and he would put her back out in the elements. When he finally asked us for help, we were so glad to say yes! She is one of the many lives that we have helped at this location. She has been with us for almost a year, because at first they thought she had a heart murmur. So we scheduled a cardiologist exam and at her first exam, they could not find a heart murmur which was pretty substantial at her first vet visit. They did an echocardiogram and thought that everything looked OK but they said to wait six months and come back for a second to see if there were any changes in her heart. At that visit, they said they still did not hear a heart murmur and her heart looked beautiful! So they said 'we can cut the cord' and she does not have to come back anymore. So fortunately, there was likely no need for cardiology appointment�'�| But we wanted to make sure that we gave her what she needed to thrive. Fast forward many months later, and lots and lots of meals, here she is waiting for you! Her foster family absolutely loves her! They can't wait to see her in a loving home!
