Maple is a beautiful 3 year old female medium sized american pit bull terrier. She has brindled fur that is light and golden brown, reminiscent of maple syrup. She has many positive qualities and we are looking for the RIGHT home for her. She is fully housebroken and has never been a destructive chewer. She may have a nervous tummy in a new home for a while so it would be important for her new family to make space for that. She does not jump on you. She is a sweet and loving girl but has a nervous/anxious energy that is best paired with a strong, confident, but calm, and patient owner. Maple does not do well with the high and rambunctious energy of young children and has nipped or bit our children a few times in the past. She should not be placed in a home with young children or one where high energy young children visit often. She must be put in her crate if little ones come to visit. She should also not be paired with smaller dogs. If she were to be paired with another dog, it would need to be done carefully and methodically and the other dog(s) should be a similar size or larger breed. She is very vocal and can appear to be dog aggressive but has played well with and co-habitated with like sized or larger dogs before. She loves being around adults. She will follow you around, sit at your feet, and show you all the affection you could ever want. However, we cannot stress enough that she needs the right owner whose home takes the above information into account. We have everything that she needs to be cared for and will provide it to her new home: Food and water bowls, silicon mat for her water bowl, crate, two soft pads for her crate, dog bed, collars and leashes, grooming supplies, etc. She has been spayed, is up to date on all of her shots, and has no health issues. We have always fed her high quality dog food but she does not require any specialized diet. She deserves to live her best life and we are hoping to pair her in a home that can and wants to provide that for her. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
