About Miles

How can you resist those soulful eyes? Miles is a sweet boy who can steal anyone's heart. With his lovely brindle coat and dark features, Miles steals the show for handsomeness! He is described to be a hound/pit bull mix due to his snout, ears, and stature. He is still a young dog at only 2 years and 3 months old (DOB 7/29/21). Miles comes in at 52 pounds, though he could stand to gain at least 7-8 pounds. Miles was surrendered to us by his family through no fault of his own. That's when Miles landed at The Crossings Animal Society where he can get a new opportunity to find a loving home. Since Miles has been surrendered, he's shown a great deal of anxiety around people which may be related to his past living situation. Miles is also made anxious by loud noises and sudden movements. He can get easily spooked and pull out of collars and harnesses, therefore his adopted family must have a fenced in yard. The ideal home for Miles is quiet and calm with adults who can take the time to be attentive and patient. Miles will need at least a few weeks to begin to feel safe and show his sweet personality. Because of his anxieties, we believe a home with no children or other animals would be appropriate so he can get the full attention he needs. The family who adopts Miles and shows him the love and care that he needs will be rewarded with a great companion.
